Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble prohormones, the two major forms of which are vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (holecalciferol).

Stronger bones. Helps islet cells to produce insulin. Reduces osteoporosis and hip fractures (in combination with Calcium).
